Together with our co-hosts, Manhattan Beach Community Church, Pennekamp Elementary School, Pacific Elementary School, South Bay Pony Baseball and Manhattan and Hermosa AYSO, we invite all South Bay parents, caregivers and coaches to join us at this free event featuring John O’Sullivan, an internationally known TEDx Speaker and the founder of the Changing the Game Project, which he started in 2012.
This presentation acknowledges that It is not easy to be a youth sports parent these days, with the costs, the pressure and commitment required just for your children to participate. John will share some of his best tips and research to help your children have a great sports experience. He will discuss the myths that drive what he calls the "race to nowhere" in sports, and how you can best support your children to excel on the field, develop character, and find joy in their sporting experiences so it can be a positive, life changing experience for all involved. We offer three event times and locations for you to choose from:
Monday, March 13 – 6:30pm at the Manhattan Beach Community Church
Tuesday, March 14 – 9:00am at Pennekamp Elementary School
Tuesday, March 14 – 7:00pm at Pacific Elementary School
Each session will be a 1-hour presentation followed by a 30 minute Q&A and book signing. Click on any of the locations above for more details and a map.
